Y’all, it’s coming — scooting in just like Greased Lightning!!

We already told you that a Grease prequel is coming, and it’s all about the Pink Ladies.

Paramount Pictures

Called Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, this prequel is actually going to be a 10-episode show on Paramount+.

It is set in 1954, 4 years before the shenanigans of the OG Grease.

And, YES, it’s a musical!

Musicals are why I started making music as a kid. Even though I was in a rock band and now I make pop music, musicals are why I started making music in the first place.

And, get this. Over the 10-episode season, there will be 30 original songs.

Yes, I said 30!

Get your vocal cords ready and your dancing shoes on! This is going to be good!

This Grease prequel is going to tell the story of the rise of the Pink Ladies girl gang, and I’m super excited.

Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies follows the story of 4 outcasts who want to live life the way they want, and they are gonna change Rydell High completely!

The series was written and executive produced by Annabel Oakes with Marty Bown, and Adam Fishback.

The pilot and two episodes of the 10-episode series are being directed and executive produced by Alethea Jones.

Get ready to head back to Rydell High on Paramount+, April 6th.
