Hayden Christensen Is Set To Reprise His Role As Anakin Skywalker In The Disney+ Series ‘Kenobi’
Disney had previously announced their next Star Wars series on Disney+, would be KENOBI, but that may have been just a little premature.
The show has had trouble after trouble, and it was put on hold indefinitely. *Sad Face Emoji*
BUT, we have some GREAT news coming out of the LRM website today. Reportedly, Hayden Christensen is going to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in the Kenobi series!
According to the LRM website, Hayden has been cast as a “regular” on the series, which means he will hopefully be a staple on the show.
My heart originally sank when they announced that the Kenobi project had been shelved until further notice. This news about Hayden Christensen has been the happy news I needed to hear today.
Maybe everything else on the planet is going crazy, but we are going to have a Kenobi series with Ewan McGregor AND Hayden Christensen. All is right in the world for a mere second.
The show is planned to take place in between the Prequel and Original Trilogy, when Anakin is, well, Darth Vader. But through the use of dream sequences or perhaps even flashbacks, Anakin could definitely continue to be a part of Obi-Wan’s journey.
Screen Crush
Now, it is important to note that the LRM website is calling this a “Top Shelf Rumor.” I’m hoping to goodness that means it’s true.
Nobody could capture the essence of Anakin Skywalker as well as Hayden. AMIRITE? It would just be weird to have someone else step into the role.
You KNOW we will let you know as soon as we get more news on this rumor!
