Here’s All The New Movie Releases Being Postponed Due to the Coronavirus
My roommate is a movie a guru. She’s constantly recommending movies, asking if I know a certain actor/actress that is starring in an upcoming film, and randomly citing quotes from different movies.
With that being said, she’s not going to like this news along with other movie fanatics.
The entertainment industry has shutdown many upcoming films due to the recent Coronavirus outbreak. Movies that I know I have been dying to see after watching the trailer.
And it’s not just movies, broadway performances have been suspended, Coachella is postponed, sports stadiums are completely empty and entertainment venues/attractions are completely shut down.
There are quite a few major films that have been postponed due to the Coronavirus.
Disney especially, has confirmed three of their biggest releases, “Mulan”, “The New Mutants” and “Antlers” will all be put on hold to err on the side of caution.
Other Movies Include:
Fast and Furious 9
Time to Die
Sonic the Hedgehog
Peter Rabbit 2
Mission Impossible 7
and even Disney’s live-action movie productions such as “The Little Mermaid”, “Peter Pan”, a “Home Alone” reboot and one of my favorites that I was looking forward too,
A Quiet Place Part II is also postponed, and I am deeply sad about it.
Even TV programs with live studio audiences like The Tonight Show, “Late Night with Seth Meyers”, “Jeopardy”, “Wheel of Fortune” plus some of the Netflix shows such as “Riverdale” and “Russian Doll”, have all fallen victim to the Coronavirus.
As for now, until the virus pandemic is over and done with, movie goers will have to settle with watching re-runs of their favorite movies.
Personally, I’m a bit nervous to tell my roommate the news, but on the bright side, there’s now an excuse to Netflix and chill to our favorite oldie films all weekend long together.
