This past weekend was the annual San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) and during this time, Natalie Portman took to the stage to share some exciting news.

Now, if you are wondering how this came about – a female lead that went from a human to a goddess of thunder, you should know, it is in the comic books that way.

In a 2014 storyline in the comics, Thor loses his power and renounces his name. It is Jane Foster, (the character Natalie Portman already plays) who takes control of the hammer Mjolnir and becomes the Goddess of Thunder.

But here’s the thing, I am excited to see Natalie Portman become the new Thor. It’ll be interesting to see her take that role and I am excited for what is to come of Marvel.

Will it be weird? Totally. I mean when most people think “Thor” then think of handsome Chris Hemsworth.

But, that doesn’t mean someone else can’t rock that role.

So, get ready because Thor 4 is coming!!!
