MagicBand+ Is Coming To Disney World And I Want Mine Now

Disney is at it again — always forefront on the road down the technology trail.
MagicBand+ are about to be introduced at the Walt Disney World Resort, and those lucky individuals who have booked a vacation after the first of the year just may get the chance to take advantage of this new wearable technology.

As part of the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary — the most MAGICAL celebration ever — Disney is bringing out something which will be known as the MagicBand+. It will allow guests at the Disney theme parks special access to experiences that the general public, including those wearing regular MagicBands, won’t get.
Now, not to downplay regular MagicBands. They have been the best thing to happen to Disney World since the opening of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
With regular MagicBands, a guest has the opportunity to just swipe their band and go. These MagicBands act as a person’s park tickets, their PhotoPass, it allows them to charge things to their room (like food and merch), it even acts as a key at their resort!
Beyond that, your MagicBand can also extend to your smart device with Disney MagicMobile service — allowing all of your MagicBand power on your phone.
Lock yourself out of your resort room? Boom, you can use your phone. Left your MagicBand at the resort? Boom, your phone can be used as your ticket into the parks.
The new MagicBand+ will let you use all the features that the regular MagicBand does. BUT, it will give you access to so much more.
It’s all about the experience!!
After you enter a theme park, MagicBand+ will come alive at various times with color-changing lights, haptic vibrations and gesture recognition. The wearable will allow you to engage with favorite Disney moments in new ways.

My FAVORITE feature of the new MagicBand+ is that it is going to light up and interact with the nighttime spectaculars at Epcot and Magic Kingdom. How stinkin’ cool is that?!?
Now, the regular MagicBands will still be available, but the new MagicBand+ will be an option for you to purchase when you are choosing your MagicBands to go with your vacation packages.
