McDonald’s Is Introducing A New Chicken Sandwich And I Expect Great Things
Would you be surprised if McDonald’s added an entirely new chicken sandwich to their menu? Of course not!
Chicken sandwiches are a hot food trend, that is of course as long as restaurants/food chains keep innovating their sandwiches and the chicken wars ongoing.
In a recent press release, McDonald’s even acknowledged the craving for classic chicken sandwiches and specifically said that it is “a category that is growing faster than beef” which frankly, doesn’t surprise me considering Popeyes drive-thru lines were a mile long when they first introduced their crispy chicken sandwich.
According to the press release, McDonald’s also stated,
“This includes leveraging the extraordinary global strength of Chicken McNuggets and the McChicken sandwich, and investing in new line extensions and flavors,” the chain said in the release: “It also means continuing to offer food that aligns with current consumer trends and taste profiles, like spicy. To continue building on its chicken portfolio, the Company plans to introduce a new Crispy Chicken Sandwich in the U.S. early next year.”

Although this isn’t the first time McDonald’s has tested out a new chicken recipe.
Since last year, the popular fast food chain tested out two new chicken sandwiches in December and January of 2020, so maybe the final product is finally ready? Who knows!
Unfortunately, as of right now there’s not much to tell about the new chicken sandwich that McDonalds plans on releasing across the U.S. early next year; however, since it is McDonalds, we can expect great things can’t we?
