I LOVE Thanksgiving! I’m already a massive foodie as it is, but there’s something about that meal that is just…magical.

Well, thanks to Google Trends, we can now see what is the most popular Thanksgiving side dish for each state, and the results actually surprised me!

I’ve spent Thanksgiving in more than one state, but I have spent most of my life in Ohio and Texas, so I immediately went to see if either were my favorite, and they weren’t!

I’ve lived in Texas since I was a preteen, but I can say that creamed corn is definitely NOT my favorite. Ohio is close though, because green beans is the most popular there, and my favorite is green bean casserole!

Mashed Potatoes take the win at being the fan favorite, winning over nine states. That is then followed by rolls and any other carb filled food like crescent rolls, stuffing (my second favorite!), and dressing.

Then there’s some healthy states that are on their own. Carrots…as the favorite? HOW? Side salad?! (zzz). And then stuffed mushrooms! I LOVE stuffed mushrooms, but I’ve never had them for Thanksgiving!

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish? Does it match your state? Let us know in the comments!
