You might remember that we told you Netflix was set and ready to enforce their new rules for password sharing.

Well, it seems that Netflix is walking it back just a little bit, and rethinking their decision to implement these new password rules.

Huh? What does that mean?

It means that Netflix has heard the cry of the customers, and they aren’t going to go ahead with the password sharing rules — yet.

The information about the new rules for password sharing was already on the Netflix FAQ page, but now they are saying that information wasn’t meant for us.

Mmmm. Okay?

For a brief time yesterday, a help center article containing information that is only applicable to Chile, Costa Rica, and Peru, went live in other countries. — We have since updated it.

This Netflix change of heart might have happened, because the proposed change was met with angry disapproval from nearly every Netflix subscriber out there.

Subscribers were making valid points about exactly why the changes to the password sharing policy wouldn’t work.

There are just too many living situations where this new policy wouldn’t fly or be in any way feasible.

So, at least for now, share away!! It’s business as usual on the Netflix password front.
