NYC Is Going To Require Proof Of Vaccination For Most Indoor Activities
We all knew it was coming!
Soon a mask won’t be good enough to gain entry inside certain places, and just SAYING you’ve been vaccinated won’t fly either.
Oh my goodness. I know a few people who are NOT going to be happy right now.
It’s starting in New York, the biggest city thus far to make such a mandate — and we’ll see how long it takes this rule to float across the country.
This mandate, known as the Key to NYC Pass, will soon apply to all indoor dining experiences, gyms, and entertainment venues — you know, places where social distancing is an issue.
We are supposed to think of it in terms of earning “The Key To The City.”
The Key to New York City. When you hear those words, I want you to imagine the notion that because someone’s vaccinated they can do all the amazing things that are available in this city.

According to the new mandate, workers and patrons at indoor businesses must show proof of vaccination to access the inside of the building.
Thanks to the tidal wave of new delta variant cases of COVID, which is hella contagious, city officials are trying to be prudent in stopping the spread.
The way they are going to do that is to MAKE SURE that people who are jammed packed together in close proximity are, indeed, vaccinated.
If you’re unvaccinated, unfortunately, you will not be able to participate in many things.

This new mandate will be introduced to the city on August 16th, but it will start to be enforced on September 13th.
People must actually show proof that they are fully vaccinated by showing their vaccine card, so carry it like you would your driver’s license.
You wouldn’t go into a bar without your driver’s license, think of this as the same thing.
No use fighting it. It is what it is. I can already see the trouble this will cause with some people, and I don’t envy those that have to enforce the mandate.
SO, if you LIVE in NYC, or you are planning to visit, make sure you are fully vaccinated, and carry your card with you at all times.
By the way, if you live in New York, you can also show proof of vaccination by accessing the NYC COVID SAFE App or by showing the New York Excelsior Pass.
