We spent our spring break in San Antonio. Honestly, it’s the first vacation we’ve taken without other family members involved. It’s kind of nice to be able to move on our own schedule, but I also missed having my parents, grandparents, cousins, and so on. I was worried Hal wouldn’t have very much fun without other relatives, but that wasn’t the case. She had an absolute blast.
When we got to San Antonio, I had a room set up at the Hyatt Regency right on the river walk. What I didn’t know was– they upgraded us to super swank and we got a three room suite! The guy behind the desk even gave me the “you must be someone important” look. Heh, little did he know. 🙂

Seriously. A lot. 🙂
The coolest part of the Hyatt regency is that the river actually flows right through the hotel! You want to really get the river walk experience? This is the place to stay.

We woke up ridiculously late the next day. (because what is spring break if not for sleeping in, right?) Then headed out to sea world. We were about twenty minutes down the road!

And of course what trip down southbound 35 is complete without a trip to the caves?

I’d say if you’re staying in Texas, San Antonio is pretty much the perfect vacation. I’m definitely planning on doing it again!

ohmigosh cutest ever! I've never thought to vacation in TX but the promise of a river running through the hotel definitely puts it on the map...
