Maybe you hate the winter season. I think you’re weird, but whatever.
I happen to LOVE the winter, mostly because it includes SNOW!!! I mean, I don’t so much like trying to maneuver my car in it, but I love to stay inside the house, and see it gently falling from the sky.
You know what my FAVORITE part of snow in the forecast is? Making Snow Cream!!
I will put an empty bowl on my back porch, just to catch all the clean white fluffy snow. That powdery snow immediately turns into a bowl of tasty Snow Cream.
If you haven’t before made Snow Cream — OMG!! It’s like a snow cone made by nature, with a little help from a few simple ingredients you probably have in your pantry.
So, what do you need in order to make Snow Cream??
1 mounded up bowl of fresh WHITE snow
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract (or pure vanilla)
2 Tablespoons of granulated sugar
1 Tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk for the top (optional)
Sprinkles on top (optional)
Fresh fruit for the top (optional)
Chocolate milk mix for the top (optional)
Here is how to put those ingredients together to make Snow Cream.
Place the snow into a BIG bowl. Add in the vanilla extract and granulated sugar, and stir, stir, stir.
Tate it (this is the best part). If it needs more sugar or vanilla, go ahead and add it.
My favorite thing to do is to top it with sweetened condensed milk — it’s SO good.
My kids like to sprinkle — well — sprinkles on top, because they can’t get enough of the sugar!!
