The Fortnite Star Wars Event is Happening Now and People Can’t Get In

In case you missed The Game Awards the other night, it was announced that today there would be a Fortnite Star Wars Event and the day has come and now people can’t get in.

According to the Fortnite Blog:

In case you missed the announcement at The Game Awards, director J.J. Abrams revealed that Fortnite will premiere exclusive, never-before-seen Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker footage in-game on Saturday, December 14 @ 2pm ET live at Risky Reels. Everyone that attends the in-game event will also receive a free TIE Whisper Glider, a starfighter of speed and ferocity.

The problem is, the game event should already be live and instead of people being able to login to play, they are getting sign-in errors like this:

I mean, it isn’t really a surprise because it seems like with every big event like this, the Fortnite servers seem to experience issues or people are just completely unable to get in and play.

Personally, I am not fond of Fortnite just because I think kids these days have become addicted but I really did want to see the exclusive look at the new Star Wars movie.

Fortnite is aware of the issues and is currently working on it:
