Have y’all seen Gargoyles on Disney+? Or maybe y’all saw it when it was on TV, sometime between 1994 and 1996.

It is a show about a castle that is moved to New York, and a thousand year curse is awakened as the Gargoyles come back to life.

Well, we just might be looking at a live-action version of Gargoyles.

The creator of the series, Greg Weisman, wants to team up with Jordan Peele, who is well known for working in the horror genre.

It has been a few years now since rumors started circulating about Weisman pitching Disney on the idea of a show with Peele attached.

Obviously that didn’t come to fruition, but fans are still holding out hope.

In a recent interview, Greg Weisman spoke about the possibility and reality of a Gargoyles collab.

I think it’s accurate that he was interested, but I can’t speak to how far those conversations went. — My understanding — not inside information, just my understanding — is that he expressed an interest in the property. And Disney didn’t say no. But by not saying yes, that answers the question. You know, they didn’t want to say no to Jordan Peele, but they also didn’t want to say yes to Gargoyles. So it just didn’t go anywhere.”

Whether or not Disney decides to bite on a live Gargoyles reboot, Weisman wants to make it clear that he would love to work with the horror mastermind.

I’d like to think — I don’t know this, I want to make that clear — that he’d still be interested in doing something with it if a new opportunity arose. I can’t say for sure if that’s true, I have no idea. But I would hope so. I’m a huge fan of his. — Should he read this article, I would love to work with him. But I don’t know how realistic that is.

Speaking of awesome things coming to Disney+, did you hear that a Percy Jackson TV series is coming to the streaming channel?
