You might be thinking, I have SEEN the Grinch before! But, this retelling of the classic story is just a bit different. You totally have to give it a watch!

The Holiday season is my FAVORITE time of year. The colors, the music, the food — The Grinch.

Yep. I am a fan of ALL THINGS Grinch, so when I saw the 2018 animated version of Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch, I had to immediately watch it.

Now, I hadn’t seen this version of the Grinch story. I am very familiar with the Dr. Seuss story. The OG TV short, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966), is one of my favorite things EVER. And, I have to watch the live-action, Jim Carey version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (2000) at least 6 times each year.

But, the 2018 version of Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch somehow made it right past my radar, and I hadn’t seen it — until today!

Y’all. This is such a cute retelling of the classic Dr. Seuss story. It is just a bit different, but you will love it!

There is still a grinchy Grinch, who lives with his dog, Max, at the top of Mount Krumpet. He still hates Christmas.

There is still the town of Whoville, which contains a group of creatures who LOVE Christmas.

The Grinch STILL wants to ruin Christmas for the Whos.

There is still a little Cindy Lou Who. But, in THIS version, her mother is an overworked single mom of three. All Cindy wants for Christmas this year is help for her mom.

Cindy devises a trap to catch “Santa,” so she can tell him of her wish face-to-face. But, of course, instead she catches the Grinch, who has come to the house to steal all things Christmas.

The Grinch, whose heart is two sizes too small, finds himself confused and oddly touched by Cindy’s request.

This movie ends in traditional How the Grinch Stole Christmas fashion — which I will keep to myself, in case you haven’t seen ANY of the shows.

If you HAVEN’T seen this version of the classic, I highly recommend you take the chance, and watch it!! It is such a cute spin on the original, and I loved it!
