Sometimes we just need someone or something to hold us accountable. When it comes to budgeting or eating healthy, many of us try to find ways around them and tend to cheat.

Well, now you can get a bracelet that shocks you for spending too much money or for eating fast food and honestly, I am ordering mine RIGHT NOW!

The device is called the Pavlok 2 and is a bracelet that you can set up to shock yourself back on track.

Budget goals?

No spend weekend?

On a diet?

Vowed to stop smoking?

Need to stop cussing in front of your little ones?

Yup, this shocking bracelet is for you!

It is simple, just wear the bracelet and then give yourself a shock every time you start to get out of line. Yes, you’ll have to have a bit of willpower here or hand over the controls and allow someone else to shock you.

The idea is that you’ll eventually not want to be shocked so you’ll break your bad habit.

According to the Amazon description:

“Pavlok allows you to speak your reptile brain’s language by adding an unpleasant element (a safe and harmless ‘zap’ of electricity on your wrist) to what you have been taught to love (your nasty lingering habit). Quickly conditioning your mind to associate an “unpleasant” feeling with your bad habit… and stopping it all together.”

You can even set alarms for it to shock you awake if you’re someone who likes to hit the snooze button too many times and ends up late for work.

You can snag one on Amazon for around $200 which is a bit pricey but could be worth it if you really need to be shocked out of your bad habit.

  1. I am sure this may be a good thing for certain things breaking bad habits or what not. However it is not okay from a mother with a daughter with an eating disorder to zap yourself for eating too much food. This is disgusting.

    1. @Shannon, this all goes to wrong use of a product tho

    2. @Shannon, then don’t buy it. It’s that simple. Got to be smarter than what you are working with. Duh
