The first trailer is FINALLY here for the late Chadwick Boseman’s last movie, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and it looks so good!
Yes, you may have heard of this film before. It is also a famous play / musical, but it in now coming to the big screen (and Netflix) and I can’t wait.
It is the last movie for the late Chadwick Boseman, and I BET it is going to earn him an Academy Award nod. Just wait and see!!
In Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Chadwick plays a trumpeter named Levee, who is working with Ma Rainey and her band as they try to get through a recording session in 1927.
Viola Davis plays Ma Rainey, who is known as the “Mother of Blues.” She had a way of moaning while she sang, and you will get to hear some of that in the film.
Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom is set to drop into select theaters in November, and it will be on Netflix on December 18. I am so happy I will be able to stream it right from home.
