‘Dawson’s Creek’ Is Headed To Netflix With A Brand New Theme Song And I Can’t Wait
Dawson’s Creek is headed to Netflix, and that means it’s time to get my binge watching clothes on!
Sure, I mean, if you want to get technical, I could have watched all 6 seasons on Hulu before now, but I’m going to be honest — I forget it’s there.
I love me some Hulu for shows like The Handmaid’s Tale, Little Fires Everywhere, and Last Man Standing.
But, I usually head over to Netflix to binge watch most of my favorite shows. Things like Ratched, Emily in Paris, Schitts Creek, You, and The Haunting of Bly Manor.
Sometimes I forget that Hulu is even there. I know that’s a horrible thing, but it is what it is!!
THAT BEING SAID — I am beyond stoked that Dawson’s Creek is moving to Netflix on November 1st!! What a great start to the Holiday Season, AMIRITE?!?
There is ONE little thing that will have changed about the series when it drops on Netflix. The iconic theme song will have changed from “I Don’t Want To Wait” by Paula Cole, to Canadian musician Jann Arden’s “Run Like Mad.”
Yes, that will be completely weird and a little jarring to get used to (I mean, that show IS that song, right?), but it’s a music rights issue.
If you have watched the series on the DVD, or even on Hulu, you already have been subjected to the song change. I’ll admit, it’s a bit weird, but it’s worth it for such a great show!
So, bottom line — get ready for Dawson’s Creek to drop on Netflix on November 1st, but expect there to be a new theme song.
