The U.S. is Dropping Covid Testing Requirements For International Travelers. Here’s What You Need To Know.
I know some people won’t be ok with this, but others will be overjoyed, but not everyone will always be pleased.
We have been on this rollercoaster for so long now and I have been begging to just get off the ride for a bit.
It seems like things are starting to get back to somewhat normal and I’m pretty happy about that, although we still have a lot of other things going on.
The Biden administration is dropping the Covid-19 testing requirements for inbound international travelers.
The Covid-19 restrictions required that all inbound travelers had to show a negative Covid test before boarding flights coming into the U.S.
But what was weird is that people crossing the border into the U.S by land did not have this same requirement.
The travel industry was hit hard with restrictions and they have been trying hard to get things to change, and it’s finally happening.
The Biden administration is to be commended for this action, which will welcome back visitors from around the world and accelerate the recovery of the U.S. travel industry. International inbound travel is vitally important to businesses and workers across the country who have struggled to regain losses from this valuable sector.
Roger Dow, president of the U.S. Travel Association, said in a statement
Now, this will be reassessed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 90 days, there is always a possibility that the testing may be reinstated if they choose.
This change will go into effect on Sunday, June 12th, 2022 at 2:01 a.m. ET!
