3-Ingredient Chicken Soup From My Nana’s Recipe Book
When they say grandmas know best, they aren’t kidding. My grandmother’s 3-Ingredient Chicken Soup is the BEST (just like she is).
I call my grandma “Nana” (it’s Italian for grandmother) and she’s all around a very talented person!
Her cooking is excellent and due to the limited amount of food in grocery stores, I decided to give her a call and ask if she had any simple recipes up her sleeve!
Of course as it turns out, my Nana has the perfect recipe to share and it’s a 3 chicken soup recipe that only needs 3 simply ingredients!
3-Ingredient Chicken Soup
What You’ll Need:
- Container of Chicken Stock
- 3 Cans of Mixed Vegetables (I like the Goya Brand but you can also use a bag of frozen mixed vegetables)
- Salt and Pepper (optional)
Here’s how you make it:
Start off with a pan and add the entire container of chicken stock.
Add the canned vegetables (do not drain) and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Next, add about 1 cup of water and simmer until everything comes to a slight boil.
Once it has begin to boil, the vegetables should be tender enough.
Remove from heat and serve!
Now how insanely simple was that!
You can also add onions and potatoes to the mix or even a spoonful or two of red sauce to spice things up! I like adding big slices of onion to mine!
You can also garnish with fresh parsley if you’d like!
From my Nana’s kitchen to yours, happy cooking!
