Alanis Morisette Singing While Holding Her Daughter Is Melting My Whole Heart

2020 is a year we won’t soon forget. This past Christmas, my husband surprised me with front row seats to the Alanis Morisette tour. That concert has been postponed indefinitely, and I don’t know if we will ever get to use those tickets, but what Alanis did give the world is her hit single, Ablaze sung with her daughter on her hip, and guys… get ready to cry ugly tears, because it’s the sweetest thing you will ever see.

She performed it from her house, with her band all at their houses.

And you think that it would lose some of that connection, but no. It was simply perfection.

The smiles. The way her daughter loves listening to her sing. You can tell she’s been singing to her every day since she was born.

It’s classic Alanis from the second she croons, but when her daughter talks to her in the downtimes, in the pauses where it’s just the band and her little voice.
