This trial. It just never ends.

I thought we were all good. Everyone watched the trial, the verdict was finalized, the end. Right?

Apparently not.

The Johnny Depp versus Amber Heard defamation trial was the culmination of their long battle. This has basically been going on since their divorce in 2016.

It has gone back and forth. Amber wrote a scathing op ed. Johnny Depp lost his suit with the British tabloid The Sun.

We thought it was FINALLY over when Johnny Depp won the defamation case against Amber Heard, and he was awarded the $10 million.

When the verdict was read, Amber almost immediately said she was going to appeal that verdict.

But NOW, her lawyers are trying to get the entire thing overturned.

Why?

First of all, according to The Guardian, Amber Heard’s team is saying that the verdict “was unsupported by evidence” presented.

I mean, agree to disagree, right?!?

The second reason that her team wants the entire trial tossed is that they are claiming that juror number 15 was not properly screened.

In the 43-page document that Heard’s attorneys filed July 1, Apparently the year of birth listed for the juror is 1945. BUT, they are saying he was actually born in 1970.

This discrepancy raises the question whether Juror 15 actually received a summons for jury duty and was properly vetted by the court to serve on the jury.

We will have to see what happens.
