Astronaut Scott Kelly Will Be Answering Your Kids Questions During A Live Stream Today
If there is ONE person who knows how to live in isolation, that person is Scott Kelly, the astronaut who stayed on the International Space Station for a continuous 12 months back in 2016.
After his 340 day stint in space, he has a bit of advice for kids trying to live in social isolation.
He says it is very important to focus on their long-term goals. Many of our short-term goals got thwarted when this virus started to ravage the world. But, this is but a moment. Our long-term goals are still important, and they are still achievable.
Kelly wants to remind kids that education is still very important, even if that education looks a little different at the moment.
He knows homeschooling may not be the best fit for everyone, but it’s what we have right now. Kelly says to just stick with it.
I recognize that it’s not easy – often things that are meaningful are hard and challenging. Find inspiration where you can find it.

These Research Quest Live classes are available to kids ON DEMAND 7 days a week, and can be watched LIVE on weekdays through the Natural History Museum of Utah.
