If you’re planning on having a party and celebrating with cake, here’s everything you need to know about the current and nationwide chocolate cake recall…

David’s Cookies has most recently recalled almost a thousand slices of cake from Walmart stores across the country due to a potential allergy risks for some individuals.

The recall was issued after units of the seven ounce “Marketside Chocolate Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake” food items with the lot number BS23212 were mislabeled as “Marketside Chocolate Chip Explosion Cake” according to the FDA

Thankfully, no injuries or illnesses have been reported yet.

Although, if you are someone with a peanut allergy who accidentally consumed the cake, please contact a physician immediately.

Due to the recall, both Walmart and David’s Cookies are preventing all “Marketside Chocolate Chip Explosion Cake” and “Marketside Chocolate Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake” products from being distributed further according to the FDA.

And if you have recently purchased the recalled cake, you are eligible to return the slice to the store that it was purchased from for a full refund.
