Classic Brownies
Nothin’ says lovin’ like brownies in the oven. And seriously, these Classic Brownies have love written all over them. Whether it’s for a birthday, or just a day that ends in ‘y’, brownies are the sweet treat that can’t be beat (unless you top them with ice cream and maybe hot fudge)!

What You Need To Make Classic Brownies:
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

How To Make Classic Brownies:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Next, mix in the cocoa, vanilla, vegetable oil, and eggs. Last, add remaining dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt) and stir until there are no lumps.
Pour the batter into a well greased 8 x 8 baking dish. Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the brownies to cool thoroughly before cutting.
Pro Tip: to make a simple glaze for these brownies, simply stir together 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar with 3 Tablespoons milk (makes about 1/2 cup of glaze). Additional topping ideas include: powdered sugar, chocolate chips, chocolate syrup, caramel, butterscotch chips, and of course, ice cream. Enjoy!
