The CEO Of Clorox Wipes Says Stores Won’t Be Fully Stocked Until 2021
There is literally not a day that goes by where I don’t go to, or at least call, Target, Walmart, my local grocery store, and even check on Amazon for Clorox Wipes.
This has been the way of things for the last 4 months — as I ran out of Clorox Wipes at the very beginning of this whole social distancing thing.
Well, I have some bad news if you are in the same boat that I am in.
The Clorox company said that it will not have enough supply to fully stock store shelves with Clorox Wipes until sometime in 2021.
WHAT?!? You read that right. The CEO of Clorox said, “Disinfecting wipes, which are the hottest commodity in the business right now, will probably take longer because it’s a very complex supply chain to make the.”
We knew Clorox was having trouble with demand for the cleaning wipes since people started hoarding them back in March, but we may have not realized that they have seen a SIX-FOLD increase in demand.
Yikes! Just think about how much that is y’all!!
If it makes you feel any better, the company is also having trouble keeping Glad Trash Bags and Burts Bees Lip Balm in stock. These are crazy time, indeed!
That entire supply chain is stressed. … We feel like it’s probably going to take until 2021 before we’re able to meet all the demand that we have
Benno Dorer, CEO of Clorox
So, y’all we are just going to have to stretch that bleach and multi-surface cleaner out a little bit longer. I can’t even be mad about it. This is just the way things are going in 2020.
