A billion dollar deal is in the works.

Inspire Brands Inc. will be buying Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. for $8.76 billion. Phew, can you imagine that much money in your bank account?

Inspire Brands currently owns Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings and Sonic Drive-In.

Current sales at Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins chains have improved since the Coronavirus from strong demand of customers with curbside pickup, drive-thru and delivery options.

Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins will supposedly be operating as distinct brands within Inspire after the deal is officially completed, according to the press release.

“We are excited to bring meaningful value to shareholders who … believe that Inspire Brands … will continue to drive growth for our franchisees while remaining true to all that is unique and special about the Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins brands,” Dunkin’ Brands Chief Executive Officer Dave Hoffmann said.
