Here’s Your First Look at Melissa McCarthy as Ursula in Disney’s Live-Action Film ‘The Little Mermaid’

When it comes to Disney’s films, Mickey Mouse is good at keeping secrets to make sure no spoilers get out but luckily, there are trailers.

Like most Disney films, there’s almost always evil versus good and in “The Little Mermaid”, one of Disney’s senior films, Walt Disney has shown us our princess and now, our evil character.

After dropping the trailer not only 24 hours ago which is already at #1 on trending, the new video shows us our first look at the villainous character Ursula.

Played by Melissa McCarthy, her character can be seen towards the end of the quick teaser which briefly shows McCarthy’s character dressed in Ursula’s iconic makeup while peeking out over octopus legs.

And not only do we see a first look from the evil character, but we also hear McCarthy laughing villainously for less than a few seconds.

Aside from Ursula, the new trailer also does a deep dive into Ariel’s life from the under sea who is played by Halle Bailey.

We see not only other mermaids swimming in Atlantica which we assume are Ariel’s sisters, but also her soon-to-be prince charming Prince Eric who leans in for a kiss.

The live-action film of the “The Little Mermaid” makes a splash on the big screen, in theaters on May 26; plus you can watch the new teaser trailer, here.
