All it takes is a bit of ice to keep those plants alive, and you don’t even have to break out the watering can!

It’s no secret. I am the murder of all plants. I think I over water them all, in an effort to make sure they have enough to drink — I’m just generous like that.

Other times, I forget to water those poor green babies, and the soil gets completely dry — I’m talking, bone dry.

When I DO remember to water them, the dirt just repels every bit of moisture that I throw at it. That results in messy spillage all over my countertops and floor.

This little trick just might be perfect to guarantee that I’m not helping my plants over imbibing on good ol’ H2O.

It will also fix my forgetful nature when it comes to obliterating every ounce of liquid in those poor potted plants.

All it takes is a couple ice cubes once a week

This will fix all my inadequacies when it comes to caring for my burgeoning buds.

WHAT?!? Could it really be that easy?

Yep. Just pick a day of the week, then you will consistently know it’s time to take care of your precious plants.

On your chosen day of the week, throw a couple ice cubes into your planters.

As the ice melts it will absorb into the soil, which will allow the roots time to soak up all that life-giving liquid.

This will also be good for those plants that can’t withstand sitting in puddles of water.

Give it a try!

This trick was a game changer at my house when it came to keeping my little babies alive.

Once you have mastered watering your plants with ice, you can branch out and try this “Banana Tea” to help add nutrients to the soil!
