Kim Just Admitted What Really Caused Her To Divorce Kanye
The feud between Kim and Kanye seems to get messier and uglier by the minute…
As if bashing each on social media wasn’t enough, Kim has now publicly admitted what really ’caused’ her to divorce Kanye.
Kim officially filed for divorce from Kanye on February 19, 2021. Since then things have been a bit messy.
The two began being great friends and co-parents. That is, until one of them started dating and that set off a series of events that led to the couple no longer talking or seeing one another unless they had to.
Even when it came to their daughter’s birthday, Kanye wasn’t invited and still showed up once he got the address from Travis Scott.
And now, Kim seems tired of the public humiliation from Kanye and is setting the record straight on why she filed for divorce from Kanye nearly a year ago.
In an interview for Vogue’s March 2022 Issue, Kim opened up about the divorce saying:
“For so long, I did what made other people happy and I think in the last two years I decided, I’m going to make myself happy. And that feels really good,” she explained. “And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it’s important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy. I’ve chosen myself. I think it’s okay to choose you.”
Ouch. In other words, Kanye no longer made her happy for whatever reason and like, I get it.
The last thing I’d want is to be in a marriage where I wasn’t happy.
She then continued saying she never wanted to speak poorly of Kanye for the sake of their kids…
“You could be so hurt or angry at your ex, but I think in front of the kids, it always has to be ‘Your dad’s the best,’” she said. “Make sure you are your co-parent’s biggest cheerleader, no matter what you’re personally going through.”
I mean, this holds true for anyone getting divorced. Just because you two don’t get along and aren’t meant to be anymore, doesn’t mean you can’t maintain a certain level of respect for that person especially around your kids.
So, there you have it. Looks like Kim wasn’t happy and simply chose herself.
