Bette Midler Has Confirmed ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ Will Have The Original Cast
Hocus Pocus is my go-to Halloween movie! I have loved it so much that it’s impossible not to beg for a sequel!
I mean, who doesn’t want to see Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy back together brewing up something quite delightful and chasing after children to get good looks?
In an interview with FOX 5 New York’s “Good Day New York,” Midler said “They want to make a movie, they’ve asked us if we were interested and of course all of us said yes. I’m game, I’m totally game.”
“It was so bizarre because we fell into exactly the same relationship we had and the same style of behaving on screen that we had 27 years ago. As if we had been off for a weekend!”
“I’m excited about [the sequel], but I really think the main reason the movie worked was the Sanderson Sisters, those actresses in those roles, those performances, that I think is the key to that movie’s long life,” Producer Mick Garris told ComicBook.com.
The witchy trio is getting back together for a virtual “Hulaween” fundraising event for the New York Restoration Project on the 30th and then we hope to see the movie coming out soon!
