I honestly never thought I’d see the day…
Elon Musk is officially stepping down as Twitter’s CEO.
I won’t lie, Twitter has been quite a dumpster fire since his take over several months ago.
But now, his time of CEO has come to an end and less than 24 hours after announcing he is stepping down as CEO, he announced he has hired a new CEO.
And if you think Elon Musk is taking a huge step back, it doesn’t seem like he is. During his Tweet he stated:
My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.
So, Elon will very much still be involed.
And for Twitter’s new CEO? He had Linda Yaccarino.
“I am excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter!” Musk wrote on Twitter Friday. “@LindaYacc will focus primarily on business operations, while I focus on product design & new technology. Looking forward to working with Linda to transform this platform into X, the everything app.”Elon Musk
Who is Linda Yaccarino?
Linda Yaccarino is known for her longtime role as the advertising boss at NBCUniversal which she resigned from earlier Friday, but has yet to publicly comment.
Now it all makes sense – she resigned so she could start as CEO of Twitter.
People honestly have a glimpse of hope and many that know Linda, are saying that she’s smart, fair and may be perfect for the role.
So, for now, looks like we will sitting back and waiting for her takeover to see where Twitter goes from here…
