Here’s How You Make Ooey Gooey Quesadillas In Your Toaster
There isn’t much my kids will eat. I dread dinner every. single. night.
Tell me I’m not alone.
One thing they can agree on — and they wouldn’t mind if I made every night — is the quesadilla.
Now, the quesadilla isn’t that hard to make. Tortilla, cheese, oil in the pan, cook.
But, what if that process could be even easier? There’s not even a pan of oil to clean out.
Thanks to my FAVORITE place to get recipe tips and tricks — TikTok — I’ve stumbled upon a way to make quesadillas even easier!
Break out your toaster and all your quesadilla ingredients, and let’s get to making.
How Do You Make The TikTok Quesadilla?
So the first thing you’re going to do is get the biggest size flour tortilla you can find.
I find the “burrito” size tortillas work the very best. You can find them at pretty much any grocery store, including Walmart.
Next, you’re going to grab your favorite shredded cheese.
I go for a good Fiesta Blend — Monterey Jack, Cheddar, Queso Quesadilla and Asadero cheese — but you can use regular cheddar or some other blend.
Sprinkle a hefty amount of shredded cheese onto one half of the tortilla.
Now, listen up and pay attention. Now comes the part where you fold this bad boy up.
This is pretty important.
You’re going to fold the tortilla in half, covering up the cheese.
Then, you’re going to fold each side into the middle of the tortilla. Fold it up like a little package.
Now plug in your toaster.
You want to slip that little quesadilla package down inside the toaster — where the bread goes.
Push down the little handle thing that turns the toaster on.
Let that tortilla bundle toast until it pops up.
When it’s done, you will have a toasted tortilla with ooey, gooey melted cheese inside.
OMG. It’s so incredibly good!
You can even make 2 at a time!! Just use each slot in your toaster.
Tip: You can definitely use taco meat, shredded chicken, or any other filling you want inside the tortilla. Just make sure you fold it in the tortilla good. You don’t want it falling into the toaster while it’s toasting.
