Netflix's First Trailer for The Selena Series Is Here And I Need More

It’s been awhile since we’ve had new news on the Selena Quintanilla front, but that’s about to change.

We’ve already known for a few months that there is going to be a Selena series on Netflix in 2020. Is it a mini series? I don’t know. The series is set to consist of six episodes.

We also know that The Walking Dead star Christian Serratos will star as grown-up Selena. There are mixed reviews about this news on social media. I mean, really, though. Nobody is ever going to replace Selena, and do it justice.

We now have a sneak-peak trailer to go along with the news and speculations.

This trailer shows Christian Serratos reviewing the Selena script in, what appears to be, her trailer.

We see her dancing to Selena music — maybe practicing?

She greets Ricardo Chavira, who will play Selena’s dad, with a quick peck.

Christian sweetly says hello to Madison Taylor Baez, who will play Selena’s younger version.

The trailer concludes with Christian performing onstage as Selena.

I know. In actuality, that isn’t very much at all.

We didn’t get a whole lot of information on the Selena series from the trailer, but there’s still a lot of time until the series debuts on Netflix! This is just the FIRST trailer.

Christian Serratos has some HUGE shoes to fill in this bio-series. I hope she is going to KILL it, but we will just have to wait and see on Netflix in 2020.
