Yes! More happy news today! We will see equal billing for Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) with their return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’, the third movie of the series.

Peyton Reed mentioned it in an interview with Yahoo! that they will have equal billing in the new ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ sequel!

They’re a partnership, and she’s a very, very important part of that. And that was a very gratifying thing, I guess technically we were the first Marvel movie with a female hero in the title of the movie. Finding that balance in that movie, that’s very important to me because that’s very much a men’s playing field, historically. But that’s really, really changing now in a great way.

Peyton Reed told Yahoo!

Peyton Reed officially signed on to direct Ant-Man 3 back in November of 2019. Jeff Loveness, the writer of Ricky and Morty, also joined the project in April of this 2020.

We have [cracked the story]. Nothing is official yet, but we’re quietly working. We’re working through the pandemic.

Peyton Reed told Yahoo

The ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ sequel hasn’t received a release date yet, but the word is we can expect it as a 2022 release. With the current state of the world due to the pandemic, dates are difficult to set in concrete. Are you excited?
