It’s that time of the year where today is the only day where we listen to a groundhog, rather than a weather man to predict how the seasons will change.

And today, the legendary Punxsutawney Phil has crawled out of his home at Gobbler’s Knob to predict whether or not spring is coming early or if we have to prepare for six more weeks of winter.

And if you’re new to the groundhog tradition, a groundhog who predicts the weather can sound a little strange if you’re unfamiliar with the tradition.

Therefore, Punxsutawney Phil predicts the seasons every groundhog’s day and if he sees his shadow, that means we have six more weeks of winter of coming.

However, if the famous groundhog does not see his shadow today, you can toss your snow boots and mittens to the side because spring is coming early!

So did Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow early this morning or will we feel the warmer weather of spring earlier on this year?

And Punxsutawney Phil did see his shadow this morning which means we have six more weeks of winter left according to the legend.

So hang on to those snow boots and snow shovels a little while longer because six more weeks of winter is headed our way whether you like it or not.
