I know most of you have to be just as excited as I am about the new ‘Hocus Pocus’!

‘Hocus Pocus 2’ just wrapped up filming and now the countdown begins for the release of the new film on Disney+!

Adam Shankman, the executive producer of the new film, posted an image announcing that they had wrapped up filming.

Now more than ever, people need to laugh. We should be laughing every day, and there is so much fun to be had with these three unbelievable women playing delicious characters from such a beloved film. I am so grateful to be able to play a part in bringing these witches back to life, and to be working with my friends at Disney again makes it all the more special. This is a movie for everyone, from the fans who grew up with the first film to the next generation of viewers, and I can’t wait to get started.

Anne Fletcher, director, had said in a statement

‘Hocus Pocus 2’ takes place 29 years after the story in the original ‘Hocus Pocus’ movie.

It focuses on stopping the return of the Sanderson Sisters to Salem, and 3 high school students are working together.

All of the favorite stars returned for the making of ‘Hocus Pocus 2’

Those stars include:

• Bette Midler as Winnie Sanderson
• Sarah Jessica Parker as Sarah Sanderson
• Kathy Najimy as Mary Sanderson
• Doug Jones as Billy Butcherson

‘Hocus Pocus 2’ New Characters

Of course, we have to have some brand new characters for this story since it takes place 29 years later.

The high school students that are trying to stop the return of the Sanderson Sisters are:

• Whitney Peak as Becca
• Lilia Buckingham as Cassie
• Belissa Escobedo as Izzy

We also have a few new characters to meet:

• Tony Hale as the mayor of Salem
• Sam Richardson
• Hannah Waddingham
• Froy Gutierrez

The script for ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ was written by Jen D’Angelo, and Anne Fletcher directed the newest film.
