This Starbucks Upside Down Nitro Will Give You The Pep You Need Today

My Starbucks obsession is the Nitro Cold Brew.

Nitro Cold Brew Coffee is cold brew coffee that is infused with nitrogen and stored in a keg.

A Nitro Cold Brew is poured slowly from a tap and thanks to the nitrogen, develops a foam of fine bubbles on top (think of a Guinness beer)

I love Nitro because it has a slightly sweeter and nuttier taste, as well as a really velvety and rich mouthfeel – without anything added in.

However, I recently found out that there is a secret way to order your Nitro Cold Brew which makes it UNBELIEVABLY good.

How to Order the Upside Down Nitro

Order a Grande Nitro.

Note: You can’t order a Venti Nitro, or a Nitro with ice because it makes the nitrogen bubbles weird. So don’t try it.

Ask the barista to add 1 pump of Toffee Nut Syrup. This accentuates the nutty taste without making the coffee too sweet.

Add Vanilla Sweet Cream Foam, but ask to have the drink poured upside down – with the Cold Foam in the bottom of the cup and the Nitro poured on top.

Then – watch the magic happen as the nitrogen bubbles pull the sweet cream up from the bottom and infuse the whole coffee with it.

The result is the smoothest, creamiest cold brewed coffee ever.
