A group of scuba divers were out on a rubber duck type boat, off the coast of South Africa, trying to see dolphins and sharks. What they got was a whole different type of show.

It was the middle of winter in South Africa, so it was cold. You can imagine once the wind picked up, and the spray of water came off the whales, it must have been FREEZING!

Luckily that didn’t deter the scuba divers from staying and filming this AWESOME footage!

Thank goodness Craig Capehart had his camera there, and ready to go! He caught some amazing video of a pod of humpback whales.

Humpbacks can be anywhere from forty to sixty feet long, and can weigh upwards of forty-four TONS!

You best believe I would have been a little freaked out next to these giants! Yikes!

Perhaps the COOLEST thing they were able to capture on film, was this GIANT whale that came COMPLETELY out of the water! Whales will breach — lift out of the water — but it is RARE to see them completely jump out of the water!

What a freaking awesome day, and amazing video!
