Ahhhhh! Guys!! We are finally getting our first look at Tom Hanks in the upcoming live-action Pinocchio, and it looks so good!!
Okay, so the “first look” is just a picture, but it looks totally magical.
Pinocchio, which stars Tom Hanks as Geppetto, is set to hit Disney+ in December, and I think we can ALL agree that it’s not soon enough.

The Pinocchio image, which features Oscar-winner Tom Hanks as Geppetto, sees Geppetto putting the finishing touches on his Pinocchio wooden puppet.
Y’all!! The puppet looks JUST like the image of Disney’s animated version of the famous fairy-tale character. *Happy Dance*
The new live-action Pinocchio features Joseph Gorden-Levitt (3rd Rock From the Sun) as Jiminy Cricket, Pinocchio’s conscience.
In the film, Pinocchio makes a wish upon a star to be a real boy from the Blue Fairy, who is going to be played by Cynthia Erivo.
Keegan-Michael Key, Lorraine Bracco, and Luke Evans round out this magical cast of Pinocchio characters.
Pinocchio was Disney’s second ever animated feature film, following Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It gave us such epic songs as “When You Wish Upon a Star” and “I’ve Got No Strings.”
Incidentally, “When You Wish Upon a Star” was the first Disney animated feature to win an Oscar for Best Original Score and Best Song. And, I can’t imagine that it won’t be included in the live-action version of the film.
Look for Pinocchio to hit the Disney+ streaming service just in time for the holidays in December!
