I was first introduced to smoothies around 4 years ago and absolutely fell in LOVE with them. Who knew you could create something that was so tasty in such a short amount of time, and with very little effort? Since then, I have been drinking at least 5 smoothies a week and have tried out hundreds of recipes.

True Story: Smoothies Changed My LIFE!

A lot of people get bored of smoothies because they make the same old recipe day in and day out. The most popular of these uses only 3 ingredients: bananas, strawberries and milk. But trust me, smoothies can be waaaay more exciting than that.

To begin with, I can easily name at least 30 different fruits that you can use in a smoothie recipe. In addition to that, there are vegetables, spices, nuts, seeds & nutritional powders, all of which can be mixed and matched, to create a beverage that is full of flavour.

And if you thought you can only use milk as the liquid ingredient, you are far from right. Green tea, orange juice, almond milk, coconut water and yogurt are just a few off the top of my head!

Honestly, smoothies have changed my life for the better. When prepared correctly, they are not only mouth-watering but are bursting with all sorts of vitamins and minerals, both of which are needed for optimum health. Additionally, smoothies easy to digest and keep you feeling full for hours.

Today I wanted to share a super delicious and nutritious recipe with fellow readers of Totally the Bomb. To prepare it, you will need a good quality blender.
