Well this is NOT the news I wanted to hear today…

If you were lucky enough to secure a pre-order for the Sony PlayStation PS5 you might be jumping for joy that it only is about a month and a half away.

BUT retailers are apparently informing customers that they may be waiting until 2021 to receive theirs. In fact, GameStop Ireland had to inform their customers of this very thing…

I was so dang excited when I was able to score my husband a pre-order.

But then I got this e-mail from Amazon…

“Hello,

We’re contacting you about your order of PlayStation 5 Console (B08FC5L3RG) to let you know in advance that you may not receive this item on the day it is released due to high demand. We’ll make every effort to get the item to you as soon as possible once released.”

Um yeah, that doesn’t make me happy.

So, just know that even if you secured a pre-order from a console, it doesn’t mean you’ll receive it on launch day. The worst part is, we don’t even know when we will receive them.

Keep in mind that it isn’t Amazon, Target, GameStop, etc. fault. It’s Sony’s for not making enough and for not having a better handle on the pre-orders.

Anyways, let’s hope things go our way to this crappy year and that everyone gets their PS5 on launch day!
