‘A Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting’ Is The New Halloween Show Your Kids Need To See
After watching the trainwreck that was Hubie Halloween, I was so leary to watch another goofy Halloween movie on Netflix.
BUT, A Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting is not stupid funny. It actually borders on a little scary in parts.
Well, I mean, there ARE monsters and the Boogie Man. They are kinda spooky.
It’s rated TV-PG, and I would take the Parental Guidance thing seriously. Now, granted, my kids are as chicken as I am, but this is all about monsters under the bed and in the closet.
That’s ALL I NEED is for my kids to think there are spooky boogie men coming after them while they sleep.
That being said, this show is pretty solid. It is about a babysitter who gets recruited by a secret society of — well, babysitters. Things get REAL, when she has to save the little boy who was in her care when he was taken by the Boogie Man.
Think along the lines of Sharkboy and Lavagirl — but a little scary — and you have The Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting.
Give it a try, and let me know what you think.
