A Live-Action ‘Peter Pan & Wendy’ Is Coming To Disney+ And It Looks Absolutely Magical

It’s no secret that I’ve about had it with all the Disney live-action remakes of classic movies.
But, this one, y’all. This one looks so good, and I can’t freaking wait.
What is Disney remaking into a live-action film now?
Peter Pan.
Technically, this isn’t just a remake of the OG Disney Peter Pan film; it is an entity all to itself, and I’m not mad about it.
Peter Pan & Wendy is going to be based on the novel, with nods to the Disney film throughout.
In making Peter Pan & Wendy, we set out to craft a film that honors both the original J.M. Barrie text and Walt Disney’s animated adaptation; we wanted to invigorate our retelling with emotional sincerity, an open heart, and a grand yearning for adventure.

Y’all — Black-ish and Grown-ish star Yara Shahidi is going to light up the film as Tinker Bell, and she looks absolutely magical.
Peter Pan & Wendy is also going to feature Jude Law as Captain Hook, lyssa Wapanatâhk as Princess Tiger Lily, Ever Anderson as Wendy Darling, and Alexander Molony as Peter Pan, himself.
Hundreds of incredible artists spent many years bringing this film to the screen; I’m excited for audiences to see their work, to go on this ride, and to rediscover an evergreen tale from a new perspective.

Now, you aren’t going to have to wait very long for this film to make its way to a streaming platform.
It is going to drop onto Disney+ April 28.
