You have undoubtedly seen pictures like this. Generating them is kind of the “in” thing to do.
People are taking regular images, and distorting the hell out of them — sometimes smashing weird images on top of images.
There is one dude on Twitter, @weirddalle, who has made a whole feed dedicated to these pictures. And, he has racked up over a million followers — just from posting these weird, jacked up pictures.
One of his most recent outlandish photos includes a Demogorgon — yes, the monster from Stranger Things — playing basketball.
Another crazy photo from his feed is a picture of Jesus in a Just Dance game. This one garnered him a cool 53.3K likes.
Yet another picture he has generated and posted on Twitter is a man withdrawing fish from an ATM.
I’m telling you, the crazier the picture, the more the people love it.
And, here’s a secret. You can make these pictures too.
How Do You Generate These Weird Images?
All it takes is a little program called Craiyon.
Craiyon is a freely available artificial intelligence system. In simple terms — one’s I can understand — Craiyon is a website that lets you generate any picture just by typing in a few words.
When I say “Generate Any Picture,” I mean literally. It will generate ANYTHING you throw at it.
I thought, “No way this thing really works.”
Boy, was I wrong-o!
It was my turn to try. I thought I’d stump Craiyon for sure. I typed in “Black Bear Cradling Baby Yoda.”
Less than a minute later, here’s what I got.
Okay. I tried again. This time I thought I’d make it really hard.
“A Yorkie Riding A Ferris Wheel” is the next outlandish phrase I typed into Craiyon.
I didn’t stump the AI model drawing image generator in the least.
It all kinda went off the rails at that point. I lost about an hour of my life coming up with crazy photos.
Bottom line: if I can do it, you can too. And, you totally should!!
