Americans Aren’t A Fan Of Canned Cranberry Sauce And That Makes Me Sad
Almost half of Americans DON’T LIKE canned cranberry sauce. Ya’ll are weird.
There are a few staples that HAVE to go on the table when I think about Thanksgiving. The turkey, the mashed potatoes, tons of stuffing, and CRANBERRY SAUCE!
It’s just not Thanksgiving without the jiggly stuff plopped out of the can. Sure, you fancy people could make your own, but WHY? It’s totally tasty as it is, and it’s one less thing you have to worry about dirtying up a dish to make.
The OBVIOUS choice for this cranberry concoction is Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce — whole or jellied. Both are acceptable. I mean, does anyone else even make the stuff? And, NO, this post isn’t sponsored.
I know, I know. “Grandma makes cranberry sauce!” Well, Grandma doesn’t make the canned stuff, and that’s what I like.
Fine. If you’re going to make me admit it, I love Grandma’s, too. I’m a sucker for that tart jellied sauce, no matter how it gets to my table.
I’m about to blow your mind — I have a friend who makes cranberry jalapeno sauce. It is To. Die. For.
OMG — Mix a little of that with some cream cheese and some feta cheese, spread it on a tortilla, roll it up, and cut into circles. You’re welcome!
I digress — the canned cranberry sauce — still my all-time-favorite, and if you don’t like it, you are insane. Well, you aren’t actually insane. I’ll admit. I don’t really like the turkey — GASP!
You know what’s even better than the cranberry sauce? The after-dinner Mr. Cranberry Cocktail.
