Dairy Free Whipped Hot Chocolate
Whipped Hot Chocolate is one of the hottest food trends right now but if you are lactose intolerant, you probably haven’t given it a try. This Whipped Hot Chocolate Recipe is Dairy Free so now, there should be nothing stopping you from trying it!
This Whipped Hot Chocolate became a trend after the popular Whipped Coffee began trending all over TikTok. It is also known as Dalgona Coffee.
Dalgona Coffee or Whipped Coffee is made using coffee, sugar and milk.
Whipped Hot Cocoa is similar but swaps out the coffee for hot cocoa mix.
The great thing about this recipe, is that it is caffeine free so it’s the perfect drink for kids!
Dairy Free Whipped Hot Chocolate
Ingredients Needed:
Powdered Hot Chocolate Mix – you can use any brand. I like the Nesquik Chocolate Milk Mix or the Swiss Miss (you can use milk or dark, whichever you prefer).
Milk Substitute – You can use almond milk, soy milk or even rice milk.
Sugar – regular sugar works best.
Dairy Free Heavy Whipping Cream – My personal favorite is the Silk Dairy Free Heavy Whipping Cream (you can find it at Walmart).
Note: Keep in mind that the texture and taste may be different depending on the type of milk you choose to use.
How to Make It:
In a bowl you are going to combine equal parts of the hot chocolate mix, sugar and heavy whipping cream.
You will whip all of the ingredients together until you get a nice whipped cream consistency.
You can spoon this hot chocolate whipped topping onto the top of a glass of iced or warmed almond, rice or soy milk (try it both ways, it’s delicious).
Drink and enjoy!
