This is just horrible and such a crappy way to spend the holidays.

As you know, the few days before Christmas Day and few days after are typically the biggest traveling days of the year.

This year, was supposed to be the year people could travel to see family for the holidays but it looks like COVID has other plans…

Hundreds Of Flights Have Been Cancelled Due To The Omicron Variant Leaving People Stranded For Christmas and that just sucks.

According to reports, Hundreds of flights between United Airlines and Delta Airlines have been canceled between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

United Airlines canceled about 120 flights Friday and another 28 on Saturday. On Christmas Day, Delta canceled 84 flights which is two percent of the trips planned that day.

The reason?

Well, according to United Airlines, they say it has to do with the Omicron variant of COVID-19 because their flight attendants and pilots have been getting it. YIKES!

“The nationwide spike in Omicron cases this week has had a direct impact on our flight crews and the people who run our operation,” a United Airlines spokesperson told The Post.

While the airlines have been proactive in trying to inform customers of these cancellations prior to them heading to the airport, it doesn’t change the fact these people are stranded on either not being able to get home for Christmas OR not being able to visit family for Christmas.

So, if you have a flight booked, check your email to ensure your flight hasn’t been cancelled. And now may be the time to start driving to your destination.
