So, today’s the big day for season 3 to release and I’m celebrating with this Santa Clarita Diet Spicy Bloody Mary….mmmmm…
And I’d like to see just how many zombie references I can make, but I’m not sure that would be a fun read, so we’ll leave those at the door.
Santa Clarita Diet Spicy Bloody Mary
I don’t know about you, but I’m absolutely in love with how relatable Drew Barrymore’s portrayal of a mom/zombie is in Santa Clarita Diet.
Not necessarily the zombie part–that is a little not-so-relatable.
But as I sip on my Santa Clarita Diet Spicy Bloody Mary, I could totally see myself acting like Shiela.
Like, let’s just pretend that the pickle is a finger…and the olives are eyeballs.
This is the epitome of how I think Sheila enjoys her blood.
Not that she enjoys her blood with these ingredients…but…
She definitely, surely likes it a little spicy, maybe with some ice.
But definitely full-bodied and a little sharp.
With some Worcestershire sauce.
All blended until smooth. Because she’s smooth.
Don’t get me started on how she does her little walks with her friends with her special “shake” in the mug.
That is so bada** wicked of her zombie-self and I just want to be that cool of a zombie–you know, if the worst ever occurred.
And, if you’ve never had a little pickle or olive with your Spicy Bloody Mary, you’re missing out.
I’m all about that hard crunch as I bite through a finger–I mean, pickle; or the gooshy squirt of the pimento when I bite into an eye–I mean olive.
Sorry. I know I promised no zombie puns, but I’m pretty horrible.
And I lie. A lot.
Much like Sheila.
Now, I get it if you just don’t have time to break out the vodka to make your own Santa Clarita Diet Bloody Mary right this second.
Just be sure to pin it to your favorite Zombie Foods board on Pinterest, that way you can find it later at your leisure.
Oh, and definitely hit this recipe for a Spicy Bloody Mary up with 5-stars if you love the cocktail as much as I do!
