I don’t know about you but I am deeming Netflix as the horror King (or Queen). Netflix just knows how to put on a good horror movie (and series) and Netflix’s New Movie Promises To Scare You Like Bird Box.
Okay, you might be thinking, “Bird Box wasn’t scary” and it truly depends on who you ask.
I thought it was quite thrilling and creepy and the more I examined it, the more it scared the hell out of me.
Just think of how creepy it would be if that actually happened!
But, let’s talk about this new Netflix movie, The Silence.
The Silence is directed by John R. Leonetti (ANNABELLE) and stars Stanley Tucci, Kiernan Shipka, Miranda Otto, John Corbett, Kate Trotter and Kyle Breitkopf.
The movie is described as:
“When the world is under attack from terrifying creatures who hunt their human prey by sound, 16-year old Ally Andrews (Kiernan Shipka), who lost her hearing at 13, and her family seek refuge in a remote haven. But they discover a sinister cult who are eager to exploit Ally’s heightened senses.”
Yes, sounds a lot like Bird Box and The Quiet Place (which was totally creepy too).
It is directed by the same director as Annabelle (again, creepy) and seems just as thrilling as any other horror flick done well by Netflix.
The monsters this time resemble a pterodactyl but are flesh eating and react to noise.
It’ll be interesting to see just how different this is from the other two movies mentioned. I get scared easily so I am sure this will creep me to my core.
If you don’t scare easily and didn’t find the others scary, then this might just be the perfect movie for you to watch before bed! 😉
The Silence airs on Netflix on April 10, 2019. You can check out the trailer below and decide whether you think it’s creepy or not!
