I have no idea how people come up with such great DIY ideas! First, there was that amazing Halloween candy slide and then that adorably spooky haunted playhouse makeover! Now we have giant spiders!

Paul Jones

I can not believe the talent involved in this! Look at those hairy spider legs! Do you know how he did that? With cheap wigs! Yep, it’s wig hair! Who would have ever thunk it? Well, obviously this dude did and he is brilliant!

He has an entire list of supplies needed at the beginning of the video. It’s mainly a lot of PVC! It looks like most of the work is just cutting the PVC to the sizes needed.

I also saw an old bike helmet, I see those super cheap at thrift stores all of the time. There were also some bendy hair rollers involved, oh and some nylons… I think he stole all of these from his wife!

The first thing he did was build the frame! It is massive y’all! This is a giant spider of the horrific type!

Once he had the frame built it was time to add in the details. Remember those hairy legs? He added foam around the PVC pipe first to give them shape and build them up, then he applied the wig hair.

I am still amazed at how realistic all of this turned out when he was finished! The brown one is my favorite!

However, he did say the black one is a bit easier to make. There were less steps involved.

The video is pretty detailed with video and photo images of everything he did. I’m not sure how long they took to make.

Watch the video and you will be blown away at just how amazing they are! If you need a project you should totally do this!
